JAKARTA – During the 2024 Inspirational Ramadhan Expedition (Expression), the students who carried out the Kilat Islamic Boarding School were very enthusiastic when the KRI Semarang-594 started sailing towards Untung Jawa Island, Jakarta Thousand Islands, this weekend. (31/3/2024)
The joy of the participants was visible when they watched directly from the Helly Deck of KRI Semarang-594, when the Indonesian Navy warship began to leave Kolinlamil Pier towards the main venue for the 2024 Expression.
On Untung Jawa Island, the students provided humanitarian assistance in the form of social service, planting mangroves, health services and cleaning places of worship and beaches. Apart from instilling Karimah morals, participants can enrich their knowledge about maritime affairs and the Indonesian Navy.
A number of big-name figures were also present to provide material for this express Islamic boarding school. Among them was Najwa Sihab who was present to provide motivation for the young people of the nation’s golden generation.
“Young people should not be afraid of failure, don’t be proud to try and learn, don’t give up looking for achievements, try many things to create a Golden Indonesia,” said the famous journalist “Mata Najwa”.
The implementation of this activity is in line with one of the priority programs of the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy (Kasal), Admiral TNI Dr. Muhammad Ali in improving Human Resources, the nation’s young generation in order to move towards an Advanced Indonesia.
